Step by step
Instructions
- 1
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.
- 2
Add the Alfredo sauce, chicken broth, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir the sauce around the chicken.
- 3
Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- 4
Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it with two forks or cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- 5
Return the chicken to the crockpot and stir in the heavy cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese.
- 6
Break the fettuccine (if using) in half and cook it separately in a pot of boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain.
- 7
Add the cooked pasta to the crockpot and gently toss everything together until the noodles are coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce.
- 8
Let everything sit for about 5 minutes so the sauce can thicken slightly.
- 9
Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese, then serve warm.
Notes & tips
- Cook the pasta separately to keep it from becoming mushy in the slow cooker.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother, creamier sauce.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of warm chicken broth or milk.
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms.
